Czech Republic shoots for the future with the Innovation Week 2024
From 7 to 14 October, Prague hosts the ninth edition of the largest national event in the field of innovation, called Innovation Week 2024, at the ČSOB Campus in Radlická. Organised by the European Leadership & Academic Institute (ELAI), this event is a unique opportunity to explore the latest technology trends and network with industry leaders. It includes a series of conferences, seminars, and exhibitions dedicated to the latest innovations, targeting companies, start-ups, and innovators.
Last year, Innovation Week 2023 significantly expanded its capacity compared to previous editions. The main event at the CSOB building in Prague’s Radlice district included, among other things, twelve conference panels, over 70 inspiring seminars and more than 150 speakers. In addition to leading national speakers, personalities from prestigious institutions and global companies were also present. And, of course, dozens of cutting-edge technologies and innovations were presented. Public interest broke all records, with over 5,000 people attending the main event alone and a total attendance of over 10,000.
With the slogan ‘Be at the heart of the action’, this year’s fair will also focus on supporting the national innovation ecosystem and important players in the field of technology, artificial intelligence and start-ups, offering an overview of emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and industrial automation. When applied correctly, these solutions improve business efficiency and promote sustainability, a crucial issue in an era of increasing focus on climate change.
Exhibitors will include leading companies from various sectors, start-ups and organisations that are redefining the future of work and industry. Some of the best-known names include Oral-B, Orbi, SKODA Auto, VISA, Vodafone and Wired.
A highlight of Innovation Week is the presence of numerous keynote speakers, including entrepreneurs, innovators and technology leaders, who will address topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence and the future of the green economy. Each talk will offer practical insights and new ideas that can be applied in one’s own professional environment, providing an in-depth view of the challenges and opportunities of today’s world.
In addition, the event provides an exceptional platform for making connections with potential partners, customers and investors. For start-ups in particular, the fair offers the opportunity to present themselves to a highly specialised audience interested in innovative technology solutions. Among the companies specifically targeting start-ups are TopMonks and OAK’S LAB, to support the innovation journey of these emerging companies.
In addition to conferences, Innovation Week also hosts practical workshops designed to provide concrete tools for implementing innovative technologies in various sectors. From seminars on how to integrate AI into business processes to big data management and e-commerce marketing, each session will focus on practical applications, providing participants with advanced skills to meet the challenges of the future.
How can we be more productive with AI? How can we stimulate creative thinking? And how strategic is it to focus on innovation? These are just some of the questions this festival seeks to answer. Discussing them will be personalities such as Michal Pěchouček, esteemed cybernetician and director of the Artificial Intelligence Centre (AIC) at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University, Jan Romportl, an expert in artificial intelligence, as well as Vojtěch Vosecký, an expert in the field of the circular economy.
Prague is rapidly emerging as one of the most important technology centres in Central Europe, attracting more and more investors and tech professionals. Innovation Week contributes to strengthening this position by enhancing the city’s innovation ecosystem, which benefits from strong entrepreneurial support and an expanding technology infrastructure. The Czech Republic, through collaboration between government, academia and the private sector, aims to compete globally in the field of innovation.
Innovation Week 2024 is a must-attend event for anyone interested in the future of technology. With a rich programme of conferences, workshops and networking opportunities, it is a unique opportunity to discover the latest industry innovations and contribute to the development of new ideas and projects. Prague offers the ideal setting for an event that aims to redefine the future of technological innovation.
